Overview

Sound production for live events across West Yorkshire

A live event lives or dies on its sound. Whether it is a band on a small stage, a launch with a live performance, a community festival or a theatre-style show, the audience needs to hear everything clearly and the people on stage need to hear themselves.

We design the system around the venue and the running order: front-of-house PA for the audience, monitors or in-ears for performers, microphones and DI boxes for every source, and an engineer at the desk who has mixed it before. We also handle the parts people forget: power distribution, cable runs, changeovers between acts and staying within the venue limits.

What we cover

Live Events, part by part

  • Gigs and bands

Full microphone kit, monitors and a digital desk so the band sounds like the band, not like the room.

  • Outdoor stages

Weather-protected systems, power distribution and speaker placement planned for the area you need to cover.

  • Launches and performances

Presentation audio and a live act through one system, with cues played on time.

  • Community and charity events

Simple, reliable sound for fetes, fundraisers and local festivals, scaled to the budget.

What's included

What we bring

Everything below scales to the venue and guest count, up to around 400 people.

  • Front-of-house PA matched to the audience and space
  • Stage monitors or in-ear systems
  • Microphones and DI boxes for every instrument and voice
  • Digital mixing desk with a saved scene for each act
  • Engineer to soundcheck, mix and manage changeovers
  • Power distribution, cabling and stage boxes

Good to know before you enquire

  • Send a running order and a stage plot or input list if you have one
  • Tell us about noise limits, curfews or sound limiters at the venue
  • Outdoor events need weather cover and reliable power; we can advise
  • Several acts? We plan the changeovers into the schedule

Engineer, or just the equipment?

Production means we set up, run and pack down. Dry hire means you take the gear and run it yourself. Both are available for live events.

FAQ

Live Events questions

The things people usually ask about this kind of event.

What size of live event can you cover?

From a solo performer in a bar up to multi-act events for a few hundred people. If your event is larger than our own stock covers, we will tell you rather than stretch a system beyond what sounds good.

Do you provide monitors for the performers?

Yes. Wedge monitors or in-ear systems with separate mixes, so each performer hears what they need. It is the difference between a band that plays well and one that fights the room.

Can you handle several acts in one evening?

Yes. We plan changeovers into the schedule, use a digital desk with a saved scene for each act, and have an engineer managing the stage so the evening runs to time.

Can you do sound outdoors?

Yes. We weather-protect the system, plan power distribution and position speakers for the area you need to cover. Outdoor sound needs more planning than indoor, so get in touch early.

Do you work with the venue's existing PA?

Where it is good enough, yes, and we will say so. Often we add microphones, monitors and an engineer to a house system. Where it will not do the job, we bring our own.
