Overview

Audio hire for conferences and seminars across West Yorkshire

At a conference the audio is invisible when it works and the only thing anyone remembers when it does not. Delegates need to hear every speaker clearly from the front row to the back, presenters need microphones that just work, and the day needs to run to time.

We provide the microphones, the PA and the engineer who keeps it all running: lectern and lapel mics for speakers, handhelds for Q&A, panel setups, audio from laptops and video, and clean feeds for recording or streaming if you need them.

What we cover

Conferences, part by part

  • Keynotes and presentations

Lectern or lapel microphone, laptop audio and a PA that covers every seat evenly.

  • Panel discussions

A microphone for every panellist, mixed so the conversation flows and nobody is lost.

  • Breakout rooms

Small, simple systems a session leader can run while the engineer looks after the main room.

  • Audience Q&A

Wireless handhelds for roaming questions, with a runner plan so the session keeps moving.

What's included

What we bring

Everything below scales to the venue and guest count, up to around 400 people.

  • PA sized to the room and delegate count
  • Lectern, lapel and headset microphones for speakers
  • Handheld microphones for Q&A
  • Audio from presentation laptops and video playback
  • Clean audio feed for recording or streaming
  • Engineer on hand all day for changeovers

Good to know before you enquire

  • Send the agenda and how many people speak at the same time
  • Tell us if sessions are being recorded or streamed
  • Breakout rooms need their own small systems; include them in the enquiry
  • Hybrid events need audio into and out of the video platform

Engineer, or just the equipment?

Production means we set up, run and pack down. Dry hire means you take the gear and run it yourself. Both are available for conferences.

FAQ

Conferences questions

The things people usually ask about this kind of event.

How many microphones will we need?

One for each person speaking at the same time, plus a spare. A keynote needs one lapel or lectern microphone; a panel of four needs four, plus handhelds for questions. Send us the agenda and we will work it out.

Can you provide audio for breakout rooms as well?

Yes. Each breakout room gets its own small, simple system that a session leader can operate, with the main room handled by the engineer.

Can you give us a feed for recording or live streaming?

Yes. We provide a clean, balanced audio feed to your camera operator, recording device or streaming platform, and bring remote participants' audio back into the room for hybrid events.

Will there be feedback from the lectern microphone?

Not when the system is set up properly. Speaker placement, microphone choice and processing all stop feedback before it starts, which is one of the main reasons to have an engineer in the room.

Do you work in hotel and venue meeting rooms?

Yes, and we are used to working alongside venue teams. If the venue has an in-house system that is good enough, we will use it and add what is missing.
